The Excellence in Design Award was established in 2003 by the National Roofing Contractors Association to recognize those who design long-lasting, energy-efficient, environmentally friendly roof systems according to accepted industry practices. In 2008, the Center took ownership of the Excellence in Design Award.
With the launch of the RoofPoint Pilot Program in January 2011, the Center will begin to recognize design excellence through the RoofPoint certification program. Going forward, the award will be known as the RoofPoint™ Excellence in Design Award. An annual design award winner will be selected from the projects that best exemplify the mission and meet the criteria of RoofPoint.
This year's deadline for entries is Friday, September 30th. Roofing contractors, architects, specifiers and roofing consultants who are responsible for the design of a roof system are eligible to apply. Roof systems must have been designed and installed after January 1, 2010. Click here for the application.
